PLO Reform. In order to have successful negociations with Israel, Palestinians need a strong leadership. Together with the " Palestinian Planning Center", the FES organized in Gaza a series of conferences in November and December 2007 called "Toward a Common National Agenda".

New Impressions of East-Jerusalem and the West Bank. September 27th. Jerusalem and Ramallah. In order to better acquaint them with the political and humanitarian situation in the Palestinian Territories, the FES in Jerusalem organized a one-day program for young volunteers from Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (ASF).
Dr. Roland Schmidt visits the FES Jerusalem. Jerusalem, Ramallah, Hebron, Bethleheh. In order to develop a clearer picture of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung office in Jerusalem and the political situation in the Middle East, Dr. Roland Schmidt, Secretary General of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, spent the first week in Septermber in the region.
Advice for Tony Blair. Jerusalem, September 6th, 2007. During his first trip to the Middle East in his capacity as the Special Envoy for the Middle East Quartet Tony Blair met with various experts in order to gain a more nuanced perspective on the region. Knut Dethlefsen, Resident Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Jerusalem, was invited as an expert on the Fatah Movement to a consultative discussion.

Leading by Example, Investing in the Future. Jericho and Ramallah. August 21st, 2007. The FES in Jerusalem and the Birzeit University Center for Continuing Education bid farewell on Tuesday to the twenty-two outstanding women who completed the pilot women?s leadership program.
Fellows for Peace. Jerusalem, Ramallah, Beit Sahour. August 15th, 2007. As the summer draws to a close, four Advocacy Project Peace Fellows from American universities are wrapping up their work with diverse non-governmental organizations in Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

German Campaign Experts Promote Palestinian Democracy. Jerusalem and Ramallah. July 24th, 2007. Christian Kröning and Sven Zylla, German Social Democrats from Schleswig-Holstein, visited the region to gain perspective on the political situation and facilitate workshops for Palestinian youth and alternative parties.
WATC and FES Empower Women in Local Councils. Nablus. July 16th, 2007. The Women?s Affairs Technical Committee conducted the first in a series of trainings dedicated to empowering women serving in local councils.
Protecting Human Rights and Rule of Law in Rafah. Rafah. July 14th, 2007. As the Rafah border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt remains closed, civil society groups assembled in a demonstration on Saturday to rally international support for thousands of stranded people.
Paths to Political Renewal- Elections, Security, Platform. Jerusalem and Ramallah. July 8th, 2007.The vice chairman of the SPD caucus, Walter Kolbow, visited the Palestinian Territories as part of his visit to the Middle East in hopes of determining an appropriate role for Germany.
